He was born in San Luis Obispo, and his family has been on the Central Coast for three generations. Jordan previously served as a Deputy District Attorney in the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted a wide variety of crimes – including fraud, assault, domestic violence, and environmental crimes. He later started his own small firmthe Cunningham Law Groupwhich represents individuals, families, public entities, and local businesses. Jordan previously served as a trustee on the Board of the Templeton Unified School District and is also the former President of the Central Coast Taxpayers Association, a nonprofit group dedicated to taxpayer education and advocacy for fiscal responsibility in government. In his free time he is a youth coach and is a strong believer in building character through participation in sports. Assemblyman Cunningham and his wife Shauna live in the County of San Luis Obispo where they are raising their four children.
